Fontys Technology and Logistics is one of the institutes at Fontys Campus Venlo and includes technical, logistics and computer science courses. The institute serves as a supra-regional competence center and forms a learning community for both students and teachers. We want our students to become quality-driven, innovative software developers and support this with an international, student-centered and practice-oriented environment. We are looking for an experienced software development teacher to strengthen and complete our team.
To really make an impact in this position, we expect you to have at least three years of experience in software development. You have at least a Bachelor degree and experience in developing modern software (e.g. Git, Docker, Agile, SCRUM, Testing,..). You see it as a great opportunity to transfer all the knowledge you have acquired to our students. You will be working in an international environment, which means that you have an excellent a good (about C1) command of the English language. You can also speak dutch well (that is NOT necessary but helpful, otherwise we give room to learn Dutch). Hybrid working is very possible in consultation. Collaboration is just as important to you as we work as a team. Experience as a teacher is not necessary, but enthusiasm to impart knowledge to our students is! We are a highly driven team, standing with each other. Each team member is broad involved in our program, its development, and in discussions with our students. We work together with other programs on our campus, in our Green Tech Lab and in several Centers of Expertise, and with external partners (companies and other regional organizations). We challenge students and ourselves, to develop sustainable solutions for business and to make Fontys’ mission to solve problems of society come true.
