As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Payroll Manager who will spearhead our international payroll operations.

About the role

Our state-of-the-art Head office and logistic center is located in Sevenum (Venlo), close to the German border in the Netherlands. Across 7 countries we employ more than 2000 employees and our growth continues. In this exciting new position you will play a pivotal role in the professionalization of our payroll department, enhancing processes and ensuring a high level of expertise. You will set up an international payroll framework and lead and develop the payroll team to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing across borders. This role will be based at our Head office in Sevenum (NL) and you will report to the Associate Director Compensation & Benefits and Payroll.

What you will do

  • Take charge in setting up a robust international payroll framework, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry best practices
  • Elevate our reporting structure to finance and HR by implementing improvements that provide valuable insights and drive strategic decision-making
  • Be at the forefront of innovation by implementing Workday and other payroll systems, fostering efficiency and accuracy in our payroll operations
  • Undertake an executive controlling role, ensuring financial and operational alignment with organizational goals
  • Play a pivotal role in the professionalization of our payroll department, enhancing processes and ensuring a high level of expertise

About you

We are looking for someone who thrives in a changing environment and a high potential for development. You must be able to effectively communicate and you have experience in setting up and improving centralized international payroll structures.

Please be aware that due to legal requirements, we can only consider applications from candidates who are citizens of the European Union (EU) member countries. If you are not an EU citizen, you must possess a valid work permit for The Netherlands.

  • In-depth knowledge of payroll processes and regulations, with a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to take on an executive controlling task, ensuring financial integrity and operational excellence
  • Experience with cross-border workers and related social security and tax implications
  • Working collaboratively and effectively with variable stakeholders and levels of seniority in a professional manner
  • Ability and willingness to provide a wide range of payroll services from routine to more complex tasks
  • Excellent written and spoken English language skills, German and Dutch would be an advantage
  • Bachelor's degree or Master’s degree in a relevant field (HRM/Finance) of Qualified Payroll Professional (PDL and VPS)
