Your job as (Jr.) Designer Mechatronics

In our product development projects you are responsible and focussing on technical topics like mechatronic accurate positioning, paper handling, fast and accurate motion control.

Together with architects you specify and agree on requirements based on customer’s demands. This is your input to come up with technical designs and concepts that meet these objectives, properly balancing time, quality, accuracy, interdisciplinary interactions and costs.

Within the project you collaborate with colleagues from other disciplines, like chemistry and physics, who are mainly responsible for the ink and print head development. You review your ideas and jointly develop smart creative solutions that meet the overall project objectives. You test and review your model based design(s) by building prototypes to proof the feasibility of the routes you have identified.

Department

Within R&D the Device Development Center is responsible for specification, design and integration of the mechanical and mechatronics (sub-) systems and hardware components for our high end print systems. This department plays an essential and integrative role in enhancing performance and adaptability of the print systems.  

Your Profile

• You have Master or PhD degree in  the field of Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics
• You recently graduated and you are looking for your first career step or you have about 2-5 years relevant work experience and are looking for a next career step
• You have the ambition to grow towards a role as team lead or project manager
• You are a team player, feeling comfortable in a multidisciplinary environment
• You are pro-active, enthusiastic, driven by results and you have strong analytical skills
• You have good communication skills and are able to convince stakeholders
